A 20-year sign company with a strong reputation and a brochure website.
All Star Signs is a full-service sign company serving Escondido and the greater San Diego area, with more than 20 years in business and a strong offline reputation. What it did not have was a digital system. The website functioned as a brochure. There was no structured search presence, no call tracking, and no way to see where opportunities were coming from or whether they were being captured.
In August 2024 the digital reality looked like this: 598 ranking keywords, only 10 of them in the top 10, and just 134 monthly organic visitors. The keywords that did rank were almost entirely brand searches. All Star Signs. Signs Escondido. Nothing that captured commercial intent from someone who did not already know the company existed.
The relationship began modestly. Generaite Digital started producing blog content under the prior ownership, before the company changed hands. When the new owner took over, the engagement expanded into an initial search and social effort.
The scope of that first phase was deliberately measured. This is how Generaite modernizes a legacy business. Not by selling a full transformation up front, but by moving in steps the owner can absorb, where each phase produces the evidence that justifies the next.
All Star Signs did not have to commit to everything at once. They committed to the next step once the last one had proven itself.
What follows is what that approach produced.
Building search visibility the system can stand on.
The first phase was a structured search and content effort. A technical site audit and fixes. Local optimization across the San Diego sub-markets including North County, Escondido, Carlsbad, and San Marcos. Content built for specific service and location combinations competitors were not covering. Google Business Profile optimization. Schema.org markup.
The focus was on high-intent local search. The exact queries someone types when they need a sign company now.
Search visibility compounds. It does not move in a straight line, and the early months reflected that. As the technical foundation was rebuilt and older content was reindexed, keyword counts dipped through early 2025 before the work took hold.
This is the foundation phase, and it is normal. It is also why patience through the first six to eleven months is part of the method, not a deviation from it.
The inflection came in August 2025. Organic traffic jumped from 82 monthly visitors in July to 2,055 in August. A 25x increase in one month.
The cumulative effect of content, optimization, and authority building had triggered the compounding curve. From that point the system accelerated.
The compounding curve. Eleven months of foundation. One month of inflection. Eight months of acceleration.
Search results, August 2024 to May 2026
| Metric | Before | After | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Total keywords | 598 | 1,161 | +94% |
| Top 3 rankings | 4 | 39 | +875% |

The growth was not random. Nearly all of the top 10 keywords are entirely new. They were not ranking before this engagement. They were won through targeted pages that match specific service and location combinations, each one answering the exact question a local business owner types into Google when they need a sign.

Capturing the demand the visibility created.
Visibility only matters if the business can answer the phone. As search drove discovery, call volume climbed sharply, and that exposed the next gap. The early call data showed it plainly.
A tracked number was added so every call could be measured. An AI voice agent was deployed on GenCRM so rising demand was actually answered rather than lost.
The before and after is the point of this phase.
In the early months, before the capture system was bedded in, call volume was low and leaky. December 2024 saw 39 calls with roughly one in five missed. The system took time to settle, and one early month was operationally rough. February 2025 saw 129 calls with only 41% answered, a combination of staffing gaps and routing issues that the capture system was specifically designed to solve.
By March through July 2025, the system was working. 621 calls handled, 92.76% answered.
Then the search inflection point hit in August 2025, and the call capture system absorbed it.

The pattern is the point. Visibility produces demand. Demand only converts if the operational system can absorb it.
Generaite built the visibility and the capture system together so the second one was ready when the first one delivered.
The platform underneath the next stage.
With search visibility producing leads and the capture system handling them, the engagement is now in the third phase.
A new website is in development. GenCRM is being rolled out company-wide as the operating layer for the full sales process. Lead intake, follow-up, quote generation, contract management, and final close all run through one connected system instead of across disconnected tools.
The new website is not a redesign of the brochure. It is being built as the front end of the operating system. Service pages connect directly to the lead pipeline. Form submissions create CRM records. The site is being structured so the visibility engine that has been running for 20 months has somewhere serious to send the traffic.
A comprehensive search phase is also in development. The first phase proved the model on local San Diego service pages. The next phase expands across additional service categories, content authority assets, and the deeper technical work that supports continued compounding.
The work is not finished. It is sequenced. Each phase makes the next one possible.
Three things, all of them connected.
The work was sequenced.
Search came first because it generates demand. Call capture came second because demand only matters if the business can answer it. The website and CRM rollout come third because at scale the operating system has to match what marketing produces. The order is the method.
The owner committed to the long arc.
Search visibility compounds, but only if you let it. The dip through early 2025 would have caused most owners to pull the plug. All Star Signs let the foundation phase run. The inflection arrived in month eleven. The curve compounded from there.
The data is verified, not estimated.
Every number in this case study is pulled live from SEMrush and GenCRM. Anyone evaluating this engagement can verify the search numbers against a SEMrush query of the domain. Nothing has been rounded up.
Most agencies sell a phase. Generaite sells the system.
Most agencies sell a phase. SEO this year, social next year, paid the year after. The engagements stay siloed, the data stays disconnected, and the operating system underneath the business stays the same.
Generaite sells the system. We start where the leverage is, we prove the model, and we install the next phase only when the last one is producing evidence.
The All Star Signs engagement is the working example. Search visibility produced demand. Demand exposed the call capture gap. The capture system caught the demand. The new website and CRM rollout are being built to absorb the demand at scale.
The work is not finished. It is sequenced. Each phase makes the next one possible.
Start where the leverage actually is.
